FHIR Test Verification

• eHealth (platform) HL7 FHIR experts:

• Objectives:

• Organise a streamlined verification process for proper and effective testing (incl. evidence reporting) of pre-defined FHIR test cases
• Document findings and recommendations as feedback to the DataCaps project owners

• Approach:

• Data Caps project <XYZ> representative <ABC>

• Test cases were prepared and reviewed upfront
• FHIR test cases are executed during a FHIR-a-thon Test Block (see program)
• FHIR test files are loaded in the FHIR test server (see FHIR Test Server – Instructions)
• Select a (30 mins) timeslot with eHealth expert for FHIR testing verification: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11brrwagNcQpkEtH3xKQwgzS-NVgSCdto5h2TqhblGxk/edit?usp=sharing
• Confirms completion of FHIR testing on time for verification slot

• First available eHealth FHIR expert joins test team to verify FHIR testing as follows:

• Verify that FHIR testing is executed as per pre-defined test case (up to three)
• Confirm that FHIR test files (and logging) are present on FHIR test server
• Verify that FHIR test results are consistent with expected results from test case
• Confirms that FHIR testing is reproducible in a live hospital environment

• Use of BE profile(s)
• Use of value sets: standard vs. custom
• SNOMED: fixed vs. dynamic lists

• Confirm use of FHIR profiles on Project / FHIR resource matrix

• Reporting / outcomes:

• eHealth FHIR expert documents FHIR test verification outcomes:

• Confirmation of successful execution of FHIR test cases
• Comments on verification done:

• Issues or errors from verification
• Recommendations for DataCaps project <XYZ>
