* Based on the comments raised during last week's meeting the following changes have been made in the implementation guide, in the Guidance part:
+
* Discussion of the [https://github.com/hl7-be/hl7-be-fhir-laboratory-report/issues/ issues] raised since the previous meeting:
::* section 3.6 Versioning of reports: the combination of system and identifier needs to be globally unique
+
::* [https://github.com/hl7-be/hl7-be-fhir-laboratory-report/issues/9 use of images]: the possibility to add images to a lab report has to exist. These images won't have a high resolution and it will happen on rare occasions. Can the images be embedded or can a link be used ? Using a link might cause issues (f.e. access and security wise) so this option will have to be removed
::* section 3.7 Relating reports: reports can have a version and/or a status --> It is up to a receiving consumer, when it receives a new version of a report to correctly interpret any change in statuses on an Observation. When a diagnosticReport is solicited by a party, it should always receive the most up to date version and again, it is up to the consuming party to correctly interpret statuses.
+
::* [https://github.com/hl7-be/hl7-be-fhir-laboratory-report/issues/11 preformatted text as result for an antibiogram]: there are some strict rules governing the narrative, see [http://hl7.org/fhir/R4/narrative.html HL7 FHIR].
::* section 3.10.2 Expression of results : Clarification on UCUM , sentence has been added: it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to always use the UCUM way to express units
+
::* [https://github.com/hl7-be/hl7-be-fhir-laboratory-report/issues/10 expresssion of result]: In the documentation it is mentioned that typically the valueQuantity or ValueString is used. ValueQuantity for a numeric value with possible a unit, Value string otherwise. There are however a lot of other possibilities in value[x]. all these possibilities can exist

+
::* [https://github.com/hl7-be/hl7-be-fhir-laboratory-report/issues/12 specimen]: in the report we give specimen information, but some of it might be considered redundant. Recommendatin: if the specimen information is available in the order, it seems to be relevant so include it in the result.

Minutes
  • Discussion of the issues raised since the previous meeting:
  • use of images: the possibility to add images to a lab report has to exist. These images won't have a high resolution and it will happen on rare occasions. Can the images be embedded or can a link be used ? Using a link might cause issues (f.e. access and security wise) so this option will have to be removed
  • preformatted text as result for an antibiogram: there are some strict rules governing the narrative, see HL7 FHIR.
  • expresssion of result: In the documentation it is mentioned that typically the valueQuantity or ValueString is used. ValueQuantity for a numeric value with possible a unit, Value string otherwise. There are however a lot of other possibilities in value[x]. all these possibilities can exist
  • specimen: in the report we give specimen information, but some of it might be considered redundant. Recommendatin: if the specimen information is available in the order, it seems to be relevant so include it in the result.
  • FYI: project planning - communicated by Peter Laridon on Nov 16, eHealth Platform
  • Next Meeting: Monday December 14 at 4PM
  • Action points for all: please review the implementation guide & send us your comments (through the feedback icon on the top right)
