  • Update on the posology use cases
Minutes
  • No work has been done on the posology use cases
  • Tom has been working on the scenarios from a pharmacist perspective. The goal is to have a first draft this evening. It is only high level, concrete examples, without modelling. Tom will send the info by email in the upcoming days.
  • HL7 Belgium will publish the medication dispense and open it up for public commenting
  • It publishes branches so that people see what is in the pipeline
  • The ones that are published will be on github.io, the work in progress will be on HL7 Belgium, some changes are still to be made
  • We will change the wording publishing into "publishing for public comment"
  • Public commenting period will be 4 weeks (normally), we can make the commenting period longer for this one duo to being it the first time and due to the holiday period
  • Do we need the schedule of the Medication Record ?
  • there is the posology that the doctor prescribes (conditions f.e. with meal, or every 12 hours)
  • In a hospital there is a practical schedule: 3 hours a day, this is only the plan
  • There is the times that the medication is administered that can be different from what is prescribed
  • the administered part will be kept /stored (we need to know where it will be stored) ; Home nursing packages would keep it, it should thus be in a manageable format
  • there will be prescriptions, dispenses, schedules and administrations
  • Medication treatment line has one medication f.e. paracetamol is prescribed but patient is taking dafalgan, next dispense it could be another medication on the same medication treatment line

Action items for next meeting

  • Tom to send additional info on scenarios; all to review
  • Further update on publication for public comments on Medication implementation guide (incl dispense)

Next meeting July 6 at 11AM
